sorry, ignore me! got it! worked fine with my phone! Thanks a lot!
Hi, do you need the Vivacity kernel as well or is this included in the Rom?
Hi Snappers, Nothing additional required, you can able to unlock ur phone with this steps alone.
Hi Savi, Snapperscould you please help me. I placed file on the SDCard but during selection not sure what is happenning.
any advise how to come out of CWM recovery mode. my phone reboots but goes back into recover mode
Astook - there is no ROM in your phone & you need to restore the ROM from SDCard. why don't you try download the ROM file again and perform ?
Hi!I keep getting stuck at step 8. I tried this 2 times and both times it would say "waiting for device" and the mobile would shut down to the Android logo. Windows would try then to install the device driver, but it would fail. Nothing happens afterwards... this is my second time trying step 8 and I've let it be in the "waiting for device" mode for more than an hour already.... what should I do? Please help.
Hi Sanda, the same issue happened for my friend with SFII. this happens due to latest hardware. check whether your phone are able to go to FTM mode, if that goes, then you can proceed with next steps for unlock.
Hi I too got stuck at step 8. The problem was that the Handset USB drivers were not recognising the hardware, hence no communication with the device. The solution for me was to install USB drivers from the Android SDK after editing the android_winusb.inf file to include the following lines (in 2 places):%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_D00D%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_18D1&PID_D00D&MI_01After that the unlock proceeded as described. HOWEVER I would avoid the debranded ROM as it totally failed to boot the phone. The 2nd stock ROM worked fine, although my Vivacity does randomly reboot once or twice a day (is this just me?)
Excellent instructions. I had never unlocked a mobile before and I achieved a perfect result. Many thanks!
I got to 22. The file which you download, rename the file to “update.zip” file and it has been placed on the root of your SD card (i.e. not in any sub-folder).But the mobile is not seen in W7 explorer. How do I transfer the file from the pc to the SD card please.ANY help much appreciated.
I was finally able to unlock it. Thanks for the instructions!
Got the file transferred by mounting the sd card from within CWM.
Many thanks. After loading the wrong ROM, etc my new Vivacity would not talk to me for about 4 weeks. This page helped me get back up and running again.
